fuck, my macbook pro has its first dent now. goddammit.

huh...i wonder why mplayer extended keeps crashing on me. god why is osx so terrible at media playback.

wow, my grammar is terrible when i start spewing random technical/geeky jargon via keyboard.

good thing i'm an information systems major as opposed to an english major.

also, vlc's post processing is terrible. i shall be using ffdshow/mpc on a windows 7 install to play videos on my mbp until vlc 1.0 comes out with better post processing and more accurate h264/x264 scene change detection.

wow i'm such a nerd.

also, windows 7 boots and flows much better/faster than leopard or vista...like...significantly faster where it surprises even the likes of me (whom, strips all OS's to the bare bones to boot and flow excessively quick). I have been highly impressed with its stream-lined-ness. In fact, it makes world of warcraft run almost as good as the desktop, which is a little weird since my desktop still wins in horsepower if i were to put them toe to toe against each other. Now if the mbp didn't turn into the flames of diablo when something like wow or left 4 dead is running it might be a little more enjoyable to play games on it. windows 7 might possibly be the first m$ system i actually -buy- without a student discount or included with build option of some sort.

yay, i can now write to ntfs file systems with my mac in osx now, as opposed to read only. hooray for making osx and windows 7 play nice!....and also making my external hard drive more useful...

sitting here, doing nothing in class...listening to the prof go "blahblahblahblah...." this is so incredibly fun! still lookin' for a place to live in the south bay. buddy jon, who i am going to be living with, is still looking for a place. i would imagine when we move in, we're going to be doing nothin gbut playing games such as brawl, halo, etc etc etc etc....we will be so incredibly productive, it'll be amazing!

relatively short list. too bad #1 takes the longest.

wow, dead space is creepy. playing on a 32" hdtv + dark room + wireless surround headphones = holy fuck. these are not slow zombies either, these are really fast, not even remotely looks human zombies. you don't kill them by shooting them int he head either. you need to dismember them with various weapons to kill them; ie shoot off their arms and legs and then they'll die. creeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy!!

my 98 corolla is now made of awesomeness now that it sports a 10" infinity reference subwoofer paired with a 250 watt rockford fosgate amp. hooray for me. now the bass won't dip off suddenly anymore!

so now it's a kenwood kdc-x492 with 6.5" infinity reference full range speakers fore and aft, with a 10" infinity reference subwoofer driven by a rockford fosgate amp. i am really happy with my work, as you can't tell that i've done any modifications to my car at all. better yet, you can't hear the sub outside of the car, which makes me even happier; i hate boomy bass that sounds like crap.
